“Elizabeth Observatory of Athens” has started working in 2003 when the first BIG telescope arrived in my hands. The telescope was a 6” f/8 of Celestron on top of a Sky Watcher HEQ-5 mount with a few eyepieces and a Canon EOS 300V film SLR camera. From this time until now E.O. has started to be a non-stop Astronomical Station with continuous work in astronomy not only in imaging section, but also in Research projects & Educational astronomy. Now we started to cooperate with other amateur astronomers in Greece, and many Professional Astronomers like Mr. Xenophon Moussas from University of Athens (thanks to his help we now start a new research program on sunspots).
We look forward for more people all over the world to join us in our activities.
